An absolutely charming vintage Spanish Talavera (hand painted tin glazed earthenware) traditional blue and white sixteen piece coffee set that contains a coffee pot with lid, creamer, sugar (no lid), six cups, six saucers. The white ground is ornamented with intricate blue banding, lace and floral motifs. The spout of the coffee pot is an elaborate botanical form, as well as the handles to the creamer and the sugar. Marked on the underside of each piece, Talavera Spain and a makers initials. Random small chips at edges, as is common in this type of vintage pottery. No breaks or cracks. Made in the late 20th or early 21st century so no worry of lead glazes and safe to use for coffee service!
