This large and charming vintage brass, perhaps bronze, patinated elephant stands with it's trunk raised and tusks outstretched. It is signed "La Puce" which translates to the flea in French. Perhaps a pun on the size of the elephant depicted? Or an artist signature? Unsure. It is embellished with cast decorative elements, indicating it is Indian or perhaps Southeast Asian.
