A stunning pair of vintage 1990s French Louis XVI style carved wood armchairs (fauteuils) featuring round medallion backs, fluted legs and intricately carved bound reed sculptural arms. The wood frames are beautifully upholstered with a pale green fabric accented with cream flower and vine designs. The upholstery is accented with pale green gimping. The cushions are taught and firm with bound spring seats. These chairs, though they do not bear a makers mark, are of very high quality and craftsmanship.
