Decorated in shades of forest green, brick red and black with the musculature of the horse accented in an ochre paint. Attributed to Orton & Spooner which operated in Burton-on-Trent, England from 1875-1954 as a premier maker of rides for fairgrounds. This horse was sculpted out of bonded plywood and then painted. All iron hardware is original, including the handle at the back of the horse head and the mounting brackets fixed to the bottom edge. In order to stabilize the horse modern teak wedges were crafted to balance the piece. This horse has the original, unrestored factory paint.
