A gorgeous pair of recently made down filled pillows crafted out of antique 19th century French wool hunt scene tapestry pieces. Gold raw silk serves as a backing for the pillows while green/gold cotton tassel fringe surrounds the perimeter of each tapestry panel. The tapestry panels are complimentary, not matching. One panel is comprised of two pheasants in a landscape with red flowers. The other panel is a dog chasing a duck in a pond landscape scene. Measurements 22 x 22 x 11deep
The pillows are very lofty, full of down which gives this pair a luxurious feel. Both pillows have a zipper, discretely sewn under the edge of the tassel fringe, for removal of the down insert if you choose to have the pillows dry cleaned. Condition commensurate with age and use. This is a lightly used pair of pillows. Note the wear on the tapestry panels and random small discolorations on the raw silk backs. The construction of the pillows is sound. Professionally sewn these pillows will last for many years.
