A monumental and eye-catching rustic storage box from Indonesia which serves well as a coffee table. Crafted out of single 1.5" thick slabs of teak and accented with hand wrought iron nails, hasp, and handles. Note the hand carved dovetails at the corners. The box sits on 1/2" tall slab feet. The top has been refinished and lightly coated with varnish to bring out the beautiful teak woodgrain. The top has a slight warp at one end. The sides of the box have a slight red color from worn off paint. The interior is open for storage and includes a candle box, which also serves a prop for the lid when it is open. Measures 19"H x 58"L x 26"D
This piece is very heavy, roughly 300 pounds. It will need to be moved by 2-4 strong people and a furniture dolly. Condition commensurate with age and use. Slight warp in the box top. Top has been refinished.
