A beautiful, rustic antique pine larder or pie cabinet cupboard that dates from the late 1800s in Germany. These cabinets were used in kitchens throughout eastern Europe, for food storage. It is in good condition for its age and has recently been waxed and buffed... the pine glows and it is a rich yellow pine color. The cabinet offers ample storage with three deep drawers that run vertically down the left hand side and a cupboard, with the door and original metal vent. The door swings easily on the original external hinges, meaning it will open fully - allowing easy access to the cupboard interior with two replacement pine shelves.
The door closes and locks with an old key. The astragal of the door overlaps the right edge of the three doors, which locks access to the entire cabinet. Collected in Germany. Measures 39.25"H x 39"W x 20"D
