Antique late 19th century German or Eastern European pine blanket chest with original paint. Beautifully hand painted red and blue flowers and tan medallions on a green/blue background. Original iron key escutcheon is surrounded by floral motifs. The blanket chest sits on bun feet on the front and block feet on the back. Interior candle box has a lid that opens and acts as a support for the top. Measures 28"H x 46.5"W x 26"D Structurally a very sound piece. Condition commensurate with age and use. The original paint shows signs of age however it is still beautiful. Slight splits in the wood on the side panels.
