A charming and functional circa 1900 German natural pine storage box with oversized original iron key. Beautiful dovetail construction is evident at the corners. An interior candle box with flip up lid acts as a support for the lid when it is open. The surface of the pine is waxed... just buff with a soft brush or an old t-shirt to increase the shine. The natural patina will develop and improve with age. Measures 14.5"H x 30.5"W x 18"D Please note the last photo. A portion of the lock has been removed to prevent accidental locking during transport. It will be included with the purchase, should you wish it. Condition commensurate with age and use. This is an antique piece so random imperfections in the wood such as scratches, splits, inactive wormholes, and discolorations are to be expected but just add to the charm of this piece. The exterior has been waxed with Fiddes Supreme Wax in Antique Brown. Just buff with a soft brush or an old t-shirt to increase the shine.
