A gorgeous and functional antique late 1700s or early 1800s French elm buffet deux corps (two piece) cabinet. The old wood just glows while the intricate diamond pattern inlay on the doors and drawers create added interest. Two doors on the top and two doors on the bottom are separated by two drawers. Note the star between the exterior doors and the vine pattern above and below the doors. All of the brass hardware is original and the old keys work.
Overall measurements assembled: 84.5"H x 54.5"W x 26.5"D
In addition to the stunning historic look of this piece once you open the doors you realize this piece has been modernized for extra storage! Cubbies (14"deep x 10 7/8"wide x 16 1/4-16 7/8"high)  fill the top portion while five drawers fill the bottom compartment. This deux corp is perfect for storing linens, clothing or even shoes and accessories... all hidden behind the elm doors!
Condition commensurate with age and use. Random imperfections (scratches, gouges and old, inactive wormholes) in the wood throughout. The doors latch and lock. All door fronts and drawers are removable to lighten the load when moving. The bottom portion measures 44.5"H; the top portion measures 40"H. The crown is removable.
