A beautiful, unique antique art nouveau, circa 1910-1920, French metal twin size headboard painted in shades of green and pink. On the darker green center medallion are roses, vines and blue flowers, as well as delicately painted gold forms that bracket the flowers. The top of the headboard is ornamented with vertical tarnished brass rods. There is a number 509 painted in the lower left. Note the rust spots in the metal on the headboard portion, as well as the framework and legs. The headboard is sturdy and could be secured to a twin bedframe with zip dies or drilled and secured to a wall.
This is a sturdy piece, ready to be used as a headboard on a twin bed or as a decorative element in a house or garden. Measures 50"H x 42.5"W x .75"D Condition commensurate with age and use. Random scratches and imperfections in the paint. Rust spots in the iron. Brass is tarnished. See photos of imperfections in the finish.
