A beautiful classic antique circa 1900 Edwardian English scrubbed or bleached pine chest of drawers dressers. The waxed finish gives the natural pale scrubbed pine a rich glow while the dark wood pulls add eye catching contrast as well as functionality. The five drawers offer ample storage. Originally, it appears, that this dresser was stained a dark reddish brown to mimic mahogany, which was the style of the day. At some point in its history the dresser was stripped and bleached. There are a few places, such as behind the knobs, that the reddish stain is still evident. This does not detract from the beauty of this piece, it just adds to the rustic charm. In as found condition. At some point in time this dresser was stripped and bleached. It is now a pale bleached pine color. The knobs are a darker hardwood which add contrast. The dresser is strong and functional with drawers that glide smoothly. This dresser has been waxed with Fiddes Supreme Wax... just buff with an old t-shirt or soft brush to increase the shine.
