A charming and functional antique eastern European rustic pine blanket chest. Pilasters at the corners and applied mouldings give this piece such character. Old iron keyhole and handles. The back is waxed, see last photo, so it can be used as a coffee table. Measures 23"H x 40"L x 23"D Condition commensurate with age and use. Minor imperfections from age as well as shallow splits in the wood... neither affect the stability or functionality of this piece. Old, inactive wood worm damage on the back panel of wood give this piece character. Bun feet are modern additions. Iron keyhole and handles are old, hinges are replacements. Waxed pine, just buff with an old t-shirt or a brush to increase the shine.
