This collectible antique early 20th century ceremonial cover from Sumatra, Indonesia is constructed out of a fine velvet, gold metallic thread and pieces of mirror. This textile would have been used in a special ceremony, perhaps a wedding. Textiles from this part of the world that are over 100 years old are rare and highly collectible, despite their condition issues. Measurements 24"H x 24"W x .25"D Condition commensurate with age and use. Note the holes, missing mirror and stains. This textile could be hung with proper support or framed and hung on a wall.
