A beautiful antique early 1900s lacquer storage box or trunk from Tibet. The red, blue, green and ochre lacquer on the box front is used to create lotus, floral and flaming jewel motifs. The top of and sides of the box are abraded from age and use. See photos. Measures 21"H x 42.5"W x 15"D Condition commensurate with age and use. Top and sides are rough from wear. The front panel has stable horizontal splits in the wood. Scratches in the lacquer are evident. A strong, stable trunk.
