A beautiful antique early 1900s lacquer storage box or trunk from Tibet. The red, green, black and ochre lacquer on the box front is used to create a stunning dragon motif as well as scrollwork, clouds and flowers. The top of and sides of the box are abraded from age and use. See photos. Measures 19.5"H x 39.5"W x 14.5"D Condition commensurate with age and use. Top and sides are rough from wear. Original metal brackets at the corners and along the edges. Scratches in the lacquer are evident. A strong, stable trunk.
