A beautiful and functional antique circa 1900 French Longchamp majolica asparagus serving platter. The cradle, ornamented with raised asparagus spears, is designed to hold a bundle of asparagus while the wells on either end hold an overflow of Hollandaise sauce. The ceramic glazes are in shades of green, blue and pink on a cream ground. Stamped "Longchamp Terre de Fer" and "1091" Measurements 4"H x 15.5"L x 9"D Condition commensurate with age and use. No major imperfections. Three small approx. 1/16" round surface chips on the tips of three of the asparagus spears.
