Antique Circa 1900 Art Nouveau Kayserzinn "4312" Pewter Vase With Lilies
Antique Circa 1900 Art Nouveau Kayserzinn "4312" Pewter Vase With Lilies
An elegant example of Kayserzinn pewter, an exceptional piece for the collector. This antique art nouveau Jugendstil pewter vase is stamped "10 Kayserzinn 4312 RJ" and was created by Kayserzinn in Germany around 1900. It is embellished with lilies of the valley flowers and leaves. Kayserzinn was a German company and the leading producer high-end art nouveau pewter from the late 1800s through 1920.
Measures 12.5"H x 4"DIA
Condition commensurate with age and use. Most notable is a dent and chip on the lip of the vase, see last photo. It has not been polished in recent times. I will leave it up to the collector of this piece as to whether to polish it or not. Some prefer Kayserzinn polished, while others choose to leave the aged patina. It is a gorgeous piece either way.
