An absolutely stunning antique late 19th century French Provincial pine wedding armoire. Note the beautifully hand carved doves and flowers which indicate that this is a wedding armoire. Note the wear on the feet from over a century of use. Narrow splits in the upper door panels due to wood shrinkage but they are stable, strong and do not affect the function of this piece (more photos available upon request). Original iron hardware with a working key. Three interior removable shelves (which measure 16"deep x 50"wide) for storage are replacements, made of modern wood. The crown comes off, doors remove and shelves remove to make lighter for moving. Because it is crafted out of pine is weighs less than similar pieces crafted from oak or mixed hardwoods. Measures 90"H x 59"W x 24"D Condition commensurate with age and use. Wear on the feet, narrow but stable splits in the door panels from wood shrinkage. The doors close easily and lock with an interior latch on the top left door and a key in the right door. Three removable shelve are modern replacements.
