A beautiful and unique antique late 1800s or early 1900s British Colonial women's travel trunk. Handcrafted out of an Asian hardwood from the British colonies in China or India. What makes this trunk so unique is interesting is the brass plaque on top which bears the inscription "Mrs. Bryce, Number 2". The brass handles and brackets around the edges are in the campaign style. There is one missing brass bracket on the bottom edge. The interior wood is lined with a charming old wallpaper! This is a strong and heavy piece ready for years of enjoyment and conversation while offering ample storage inside.
