An exceptional antique German Wilhelmenian style tall buffet sideboard handcrafted in the late 1800s out of stunning flame birch wood that has a rich amber glow. The cabinet consists of a lower portion with doors that open to reveal storage with three removable shelves, a drawer, and an upper tiered display. The tasseled key locks the lower portion and serves as a pull for the upper drawer (though it does not lock it). The brass hardware is original to the piece. The upper display colonnade comes apart into pieces for ease of movement. You will find similar pieces listed online but they are for sale in Europe... this piece is located in the USA and not a problem to ship. Overall measurements with crown 75.25"H x 38"W x 19"D At some point in time this piece was stripped and refinished. Condition commensurate with age and use. Minor surfaces scratches in the wood. The doors have a slight warp but close... engage the latch on the interior on the left door before closing and locking the right door.
