Antique 1920s French Bleached Oak Parquet Top Draw Leaf Table
Antique 1920s French Bleached Oak Parquet Top Draw Leaf Table
This stunning and practical antique 1920s French parquet top draw leaf table was stripped and bleached resulting in a gorgeous, subdued appearance. The leaves glide smoothly and easily lock into place. The parquet table top is tight and functional with a light coat of durable varnish which allows you to wipe the table with a damp cloth. The serpentine apron and cabriole legs give this table such character.
Closed the table measures 30.5"H x 39.25"D x 51.5"L; open it measures 89.5" long, almost 7.5 feet long. Knee clearance is 24 inches. The space between the side legs for chairs is 41 inches. Closed the table seats 6 comfortably; with the leaves opened 8-10 people.
A strong, sturdy piece ready for many years of use and enjoyment. The table leaves glide smoothly and lock into place. The table has been stripped, bleached, and lightly coated with a matte varnish that is invisible. You are able to wipe the table with a damp cloth but I wouldn't leave wet glasses or hot dishes on the surface. Very minor imperfections in the wood due to age and use, see photos. One small crack in the wood in one of the leaves, see last photo.
