An absolutely stunning antique mid to late 19th century Anglo-Indian British colonial rosewood linen press cabinet. The rosewood just glows! A carved starburst pattern adorns the doors and a gorgeous carved gadrooned pattern is on the top, middle and bottom edges. The cabinet sits on monumental gadrooned feet. Original carved rosewood knobs on the drawers as well as brass key escutcheons; brass working key (replacement lock and key) on the right door. Interior adjustable shelf is a replacement. Drawer interiors are mahogany. Top comes off the base for ease of movement. Additional photos available upon request. Measures 81.5"high x 28.5"wide x 22.25"deep Condition commensurate with age and use. Small random scratches and flaws in wood from use. Key, lock and door key escutcheon are replacements. Left door is slightly lighter wood than the right door. Wood repair to area of door around lock, see last photo. Repair to one original knob, see second to last photo. Interior shelf is a replacement. Strong and sturdy, ready for another 100+ years of enjoyment!
