An absolutely charming antique 1920s or earlier Hungarian or Eastern European storage bench with old sky and colbalt blue paint. The old painted blue finish has been sanded smooth, sealed with furniture wax, and buffed to a beautiful sheen. Offers a large amount of interior space for storage. Hold the lid open with a dowel stick, included. Old writing on underside of seat with dates from the 1920s and 1930s. Measures 36"high x 79"wide x 23"deep This is an antique piece with flaws from age and use that add to the charm. Bench construction is strong and sturdy, ready for another 100+ years of use. Hinges and seat splines are new. Surface has been sanded smooth and coated with Fiddes Supreme Wax in Natural. Just buff with an old t-shirt to restore shine.
