The table is hand-carved and has five drawers, the drawer fronts expertly carved in the form of unfurled scrolls. Ornamenting the scrolls are hand-painted flowers, branches, and birds. Surrounding the legs are relief carved flowers and vines. \u003cbr\u003eMeasures 34.75\"H x 36\"W x 17.75\"D\u003cbr\u003eThe drawers do not have pulls, instead you pull on the edges of the scrolls to open the drawers. At one time the center drawer had a key escutcheon but it is now missing and filled in.  The red lacquer table top shows signs of wear which adds to the charm of this piece. Mortise and tenon joinery is evident throughout.\u003cbr\u003eCondition commensurate with age and use. The structure of the table is strong and sturdy.
